covo ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. this policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the covo app.

information we collect

we collect information you provide directly: your name, phone number for verification and login, date of birth, profile photo, and social media handles. we also collect information about the covos you create and join, messages you send in group chats, join requests, no-show status, and ratings you give and receive.

how we use your information

we use your information to operate the app — verifying your account, helping people create and join small group plans, enabling group chats, reviewing join requests, tracking no-shows, and sending notifications about your covos and requests. we do not sell your data to third parties.

who can see your information

your profile (name, age, gender, verified status, socials, ratings) is visible to other users you interact with — specifically event hosts reviewing your join request and members of group chats you're in. your full profile is never shown publicly to all users. your phone number is never visible to other users.

third-party services

covo uses supabase for data storage and authentication, twilio for phone verification and SMS login codes, and expo for push notifications. these services process information only as needed to provide those services and have their own privacy policies.

data retention

we keep your data as long as your account is active. you can delete your account at any time from the profile tab in the app, which permanently removes all your data.

your rights

you can view and edit your profile at any time in the app. you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by using the delete account feature in the app or by emailing us at ciaocovo.app@gmail.com.

children

covo is not intended for users under 18. we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
